BBC Fakery, Again
The fact the the majority of news content in the mainstream media is nothing but sheer lies and misrepresentation first dawned on me a number of years ago reading a friend’s copy of the Sunday Times. They had a fairly long article about David Irving.
What surprised me most about the Irving article was that the photograph of him had clearly been “photoshopped.” His eyes had been darkened to make him look like the epitome of evil. Simple subliminal suggestion. No matter what I thought about the man, this kind of manipulation made me feel uncomfortable, to say the least.
This kind of crap goes on every day. Today, for example, the BBC, that self-proclaimed bastion of accuracy and even-handedness, is running a story entitled “Mounting sense of crisis over Iran.”
Lo and behold, there’s a photo there (local copy), attributed to AFP, of Iran’s “missile launch.” It shows the simultaneous launch of four missiles. Except its fake.
Look closely at the dust cloud beneath the middle missile and the right hand one. They are clearly identical.
You see, these days, they assume the sheeple are so asleep, they don’t even have to try to hide the fakery.
Make sure you stay awake, folks.

Update: turns out this photo was outed as a fake yesterday on Little Green Footballs, and a link to this site is currently on Reddit. And yet the BBC are still using it. Any excuses about “editorial mistakes” just don’t cut it. –Well, they seem to have changed the image at last (3pm or so). Luckily I took a screen grab before they did. I see the accreditation for the image has changed from AFP to Associated Press. Something stinks.
